A personalized guide to detached homes, top schools, quality daycares, and the neighbourhoods where growing families thrive.
A 4-bedroom, 3-4 bathroom detached home with 2,000–2,400 sq ft of living space. Typically 15–30 years old with a 1–2 car attached garage, eat-in kitchen, and often a finished basement. Move-in ready in established neighbourhoods. In Caledon (Bolton area), similar budgets can find newer builds on larger lots but with fewer urban amenities.
Peel Region waitlists are 6–18 months. If you're moving to a new area, register at local daycares as soon as you know the neighbourhood. The Region of Peel's OneList system lets you apply to multiple centres at once.
Registration for Grade 1 French Immersion opens in November of the prior year and fills quickly. Living in the catchment area of a French Immersion school gives priority access. Schools like Castlebridge PS, Edenrose PS, and Carberry PS in Brampton offer this program.
Caledon has significantly fewer licensed daycare options than Brampton. Most centres are concentrated in Bolton. Many Caledon families drive to Brampton for childcare. If daycare proximity is a priority, Brampton neighbourhoods offer a clear advantage.
